Your day as a Health Wagon patient


The following provides an overview of how you may expect your visit will go as a patient at the Health Wagon. 

 

1.  Insurance eligibility screening (new patients only)

  • If you are new patient you will first be screened for free health insurance eligibility by the nurse. 

2.  Complete necessary paperwork including appropriate consents, medical registry, and family history. 


3.  A nurse will review the information with you, take your current complaints, vital signs, and get a current list of your medications. 

  • Make sure you understand how to participate in your treatment.  We always welcome and encourage your questions.  You may want to ask about the meaning of test results, how to take your medicine, and when to come back. 


4.  Treatment Plan

  • You will be seen by a nurse practitioner and a plan of care will be developed.  Sample medications and/or a prescription will be made available if needed.  Waiting Room
  • Diagnostic test and laboratory test will be ordered if appropriate. 


5.  Follow-up appointments

  • You will be advised if a follow up appointment is needed.
